What's New ? July 4, 2004 New collages have been added to The Sentinelgallery and to General Art, Fan Art and the Mag 7 gallery. And I'm proud to announce that I've received two awards in this year's 'Ezzies' - the fan fic and fan art awards voted by my fellow Mag 7/Ezra fans on the Brigadears List. The awards are for the website in general, and for the M7/CSI Denuo collage. You'll find it in the Mag 7 gallery. April 11, 2004 I know this is a shock - but yes, this really is an update. And I've got the pictures to prove it! :-) Some of the collages posted here today have been around for a little while but I just hadn't got around to uploading them. You'll find something new in every gallery, so do take your time and check them all out. I'm also hoping to add a new section within the next week or so to house a number of background splashes I've created and I've got about 3 or 4 new collages in the serious planning stage. Now that I finally finished screencapping the M7 episodes Magnificent Seven episodes I'm hoping to create episode collages for that show - similar to those I've been doing for The Sentinel. August 17 2003 I've done a bit of housekeeping. Some older X-Files and Sentinel collages have been removed. It was a hard decision but aside from wanting to free up some diskspace, I don't think they reflect my style anymore. There are new additions to the Sentinel gallery - six new episode collages. Two new pictures have also been added to the General Art section. June, 21 2003 First things first... my M7 Art Gallery, my Screencap site and one of my Ezra related collages were chosen as 'Diamond Award' winners in the recent Ezzies - which are given out to the best of M7 fic/art/whatever featuring Ezra Standish. I've given myself a thumping pat on the back and as soon as I can figure out how to do it without stuffing up the existing code I'll be posting my award plaques to the appropriate pages. Getting back to the regular stuff....there's been new collages and a new/old gallery added. Just click on the relevant gallery in the sidebar and all will be revealed. FanArt: Three new pics added. One is QAF related - a movie poster inspired by a particular QAF fic series and two CSI related collages. The blurbs accompanying each pic explains the why's and wherefores. The X-Files: Added another episode collage created for the P2K Episode Exhibition. The episode is 'Demons' from Season 4. Magnificent Seven: Five new collages: Two new Anthony Starke collages celebrating his birthday; The latest dust jacket for the Regents AU; a little Vin imagery and a pic inspired by Macx and Lara Bee's Denuo AU stories. Arzestan's Art: A new gallery of old work. Go get a coffee or something...there's a bit of a story involved with this one. A couple of years back a friend told me about P2K - Philedom2K Pandemonium's Art Challenges. Whilst looking it over I checked out the registeration process. For reasons I can't recall I used a difference nick the 'salian' or 'kaykat' I normally use. It was never supposed to be a 'real' identity but I decided to go with it. Even though I doubted few on the forum would know me I thought it was a good chance to check out a theory or two on cliqueism and style recogniation. Plus at that I had recently installed a copy of Abode Photoshop and I resolved to use only that for Arzestan's work. A month or so later I happened to try and log into the site via my laptop and without realising what I was doing I ended up re-registering myself under my usual 'salian' idea. Dilemma and not exactly cricket I know. For a brief while I juggled the IDs - it helped that I could only access one via the laptop, but it was fun...hell, I even created a simple website for Arzestan. I planned on killing off Arzestan but my computer beat me to it by having one of its' little tantys. When I finally got it working again the access to both IDs on P2K were lost so I only came back as 'salian'. If anyone from that forum is reading - my apologies, I never meant anything deceitful, it was just a bit of fun and made sure 'salian' never commented on or voted for 'Arzestan' and visa versa. After time the Arzestan website disappeared off the face of the web ::shrug:: no idea why. And to be honest I kinda forgot about it all until recently when I was trying to track down a particular pic and came across the disk with all the website info. I looked at the collages again and realised I'd done some good work under that ID...damn good. So after some thought I've decided to post the whole thing again, as part of this site. It is as it was - the only thing I've added is a few words to each pic in explanation. So...go on...click on the link and have a look :-) Maybe next update I'll explain the name Arzestan April, 26 2003 My recent overseas holiday did my muse some good. I've created about 7 pictures since my return. For the moment I'm only posting the 3 Sentinel episode collages but the way things are going I hope to have some more new art up within a few days.
